Site Guide

New to the website? Here’s how to use the menu at the top of every page to find what you need.

The Menu Bar

Every page on this site has the same menu running along the top. Some items take you straight to a page; two of them (History and Fixtures) open a small menu of their own when you click them. Here’s what each one does, in order:

  1. Home

Takes you back to the homepage from anywhere on the site.

  2. News

The latest club news and stories.

  3. History

Click this to open a small menu with two choices:

    • Club HistoryAn overview of the club's story over the years.
    • Red Hand JourneysPersonal stories from people connected to the club.
  4. Fixtures

Click this to open a small menu with three choices:

    • Upcoming FixturesGames that haven't happened yet, with date, time, and venue.
    • ResultsFinal scores from games already played.
    • League TablesWhere each team stands in its league.
  5. Pitch Calendar

See when the club grounds are already booked.

  6. Contact

The club's address, a map, and how to get in touch.

Near the menu you’ll also find a small EN / GA switch to change the site’s language. On a phone, the whole menu is tucked behind a ☰ button in the corner — tap it to open the same list.

Icons at the Bottom of the Page

If you scroll all the way to the bottom of any page, you’ll see a row of small round icons. Each one is a button — clicking it opens a different club page in a new tab. Here’s what each icon looks like and what it does:

  • Facebook

Opens the club's Facebook page, where you can message the club directly.

  • X (Twitter)

Opens the club's X page for quick updates and news.

  • Instagram

Opens the club's Instagram page, with photos from matches and events.

  • Club Gear Shop

Opens the O'Neills online shop, where you can buy official club gear and clothing.

  • Club Lotto

Opens the club's weekly lottery page, where you can buy an entry to support the club.

Below the icons you’ll also find some plain text links — Site Guide (this page) and Privacy & Cookie Policy. There’s also an Admin Controls link, which is only for club volunteers who manage the website — you don’t need it as a visitor.

Common Questions

How do I find out when my team is playing next?

At the top of the page, click Fixtures. A small menu drops down — choose Upcoming Fixtures. You’ll see a list of games with the date, time, and venue. If a game is happening right now, it’ll show a “Live” badge — click into it to follow the score as it happens.

How do I check the score of a match that already happened?

Click Fixtures in the top menu, then choose Results from the menu that drops down. Games are listed with the most recent first.

How do I see where a team stands in their league?

Click Fixtures in the top menu, then choose League Tables. Pick the competition and division you want to see.

How do I read the latest club news?

Click News in the top menu. Click on any story in the list to read the full article.

How do I learn about the club's history?

Click History in the top menu. Choose Club History for an overview, or Red Hand Journeys for personal stories from people connected to the club.

How do I find the grounds or get in touch with the club?

The menu looks different on my phone — where did it go?

On a phone or narrow screen, the menu is hidden behind a button with three lines (☰) in the corner of the page. Tap it to open the full menu, tap History or Fixtures to expand their choices, and tap the × to close it again.

How do I switch the site to Irish?

Look for the language switch next to the menu, near the top of the page (it toggles between EN and GA). Tap it to switch the whole site between English and Gaeilge at any time.
